1) Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels:

The opening sequence of  ''Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels''  follows the traditional trend of titling in films, balancing clips and titles between alternative cuts.
This method of demonstrating credits and titles of the film is frequently used to simplify and direct the viewers attention to the contents of the opening film. i feel this works well to direct the audience to the characters and the context of their status and positions in society. This sets the tone for the majority of the rest of the film.
The centered positioning of the scripts maintain the simplicity over the black background and off set pale titles and  minimal animations, direct the audience to the contexts being shown.
The fonts and scripts as well are uncomplicated but are written in an offset balance and tone describing an image of disorder and upset, relating heavily to the scene. The aged type-writer style font portrays a sense of time to the sequence.

2) Snatch:

Using a less conventional method of styling the credits and titles in to the opening sequence, Snatch uses a retro pop-art style pause frame immediately introducing the characters to the audience. Freezing the clips of the appropriate characters shows to be relating their actions direct to the camera and P.O.V of the audience. The pale dull colors* draw attention to the standout bold text, scripting the characters names. A font boldly stands out within the now simplified frame.
The contrapuntal music also offers a sense of humor about the sequence aswell as the context of the scene.
